Centre for Promoting Democracy functions as the secretariat of Pani Haq Samiti forming the centre of all communications, advocacy, resource mobilisation and administrative management.

February 16, 2010, Pani Haq Samiti was formed out of a people's campaign for Universal Access to Water. February 24, 2020, Bhim Nagar in Mankhurd got its first official water connection after a decade of struggle.


January 10, 2017, a circular was issued by the Hydraulic Engineer Dept. as per Water for All Policy of MCGM. January 16, 2019, Wadala Transit Camp got its first official water connection.
