We take personal information about you when you enter a request, sign up to our information sheet, or register your interest as a potential volunteer, or contribute towards our efforts. The data we gather consists of your name, e-mail id, phone number, address and pan card number.
This personal information is not distributed, shared, rented or given to companies or organizations that are not part of the Pani Haq Samiti.
We usually update our followers by post two times a year and by email, 6 times a year. If you think you are being contacted frequently, please inform us and we can limit this to less updates or if you would prefer, take you out from the e-mailing list completely.
You can also request a copy of the personal info we have of you at any time by emailing us at panihaq@gmail.com. If any personal information changes or you find that our records are not up-to-date, please inform us.
We will make sure your personal information is held safely, as per the Data Protection Act.
Donations:
PHS is a collective of organisations, institutions and individuals. Our donations are collected and managed by our secretariat organisation, Center for Promoting Democracy. Center for Promoting Democracy is a Trust registered with Charity Commissioner and Income Tax Office. All donations are tax-exempted under section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.
Donation Refund Policy
Center For Promoting Democracy takes the utmost care to process donations as per the instructions given by our donors, online and offline. However, in case of an unlikely event of an erroneous donation or if the donor would like to cancel his donation, Center for Promoting Democracy will respond to the donor within 7 working days of receiving a valid request for refund from the donor. The timely refund of the donation will depend upon the type of credit card/banking instrument used during the transaction. The donor will have to send Center for Promoting Democracy a written request for a refund within 2 days of making the donation to our official address or email info@cpdindia.org along with-
1. Proof of the deduction of the donation amount.
2. In cases where the donation receipt has already been issued to the donor, the donor will have to return the original receipt to us at our office addresses.
3. If the tax exemption certificate is already issued, then we are sorry but we will not be able to refund the donation. However, in case of a valid refund request due to any error on our part, Center for Promoting Democracy will refund the donation and bear the costs of the same.
