February 16, 2010, Pani Haq Samiti was formed out of a people's campaign for Universal Access to Water. February 24, 2020, Bhim Nagar in Mankhurd got its first official water connection after a decade of struggle.

January 10, 2017, a circular was issued by the Hydraulic Engineer Dept. as per Water for All Policy of MCGM. January 16, 2019, Wadala Transit Camp got its first official water connection.
