January 16, 2019, Wadala Transit Camp got its first official water connection.
On December 23, 2019, Unit no. 23 in Aarey received its first official water connection.
On June 3, 2019, Gautam Nagar received its first official water connection.
On April 20, 2019, an NOC was received from the AAREY Administration allowing informal dwellers on their land to apply for official water connections.
On March 20, 1927, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar led thousands of Dalits to the Chavdar Lake in Mahad, Maharashtra, in order to reclaim their right to water. This day is observed as Social Empowerment day in India. The ideology behind this historic movement forms the basis of PHS’ philosophy.
On March 30, 2019, Bombay Port Trust passed an NoC that will allow the informal dwellers living on BPT land to apply for formal water connections. The NoC can be viewed here.
